Serving 2023

Serving one another flows out of love for God and for others

Whatever your gifts, skills, and talents we know there is a part you can play in the church family. Each day we are blessed with lots of opportunities to use our gifts as Christians at church and within our communities. There is always a great need for people to volunteer in order for all the practical roles to be filled in the running of our services and ministries.

Would you like to volunteer?

Join one of our Sunday Teams or any other PBC Ministry!

Check out the ministries online via What's On and Connect. Most roles within the church are on a rota, with training provided. You would likely be working alongside fellow believers, and this is a great way to connect and serve God.

Please use the form below to let us know what area of church you would like to get involved in.
The relevant leader will get back to you as soon as possible. Please read our Volunteering at PBC Guide
here.

Serving2
Why serve others at church and in the community?

Matthew 22:36-40
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

At Purley Baptist Church, we are a community of believers who love God and the people around us. Along with our faith in Jesus Christ, our Saviour, and Lord, we also believe that everyone who attends has a role to play and can use their God-given skills and talents for the good of the church and the community. These gifts include teaching, evangelism, social action, pastoral care, prayer, healing, taking part in worship, administration, and hospitality.

Hope you join us soon for a Sunday service to honour God and for serving together to honour one another!
