Life Groups are an integral part of PBC. In a typical meeting 5-10 people meet to study the Bible and explore ways to apply it to everyday life. They will listen and pray for one another, maybe share some food, and deepen friendships to enable each other to share God’s love. Groups meet weekly or fortnightly in a member’s home, at church or online, and incorporate people of various age groups, backgrounds and characteristics. There's a welcoming group to meet everyone's needs and personality!
Meet our Associate Pastor
Tim oversees discipleship and organises life groups work within the church. If you’d like more information about any of our small groups, please feel free to get in touch with Tim.
FIND A GROUP THAT SUITS YOU

Children aged 11 and under (and families) are invited to church to join in exciting activities! There's lots of creative, educational and biblical activities in term time, and special events in school holidays. Our team of leaders and helpers are led by our
Children's & Families Leaders and supported by some of the young people. Adults are DBS checked and have first aid and safeguarding training.
Kids Church
We want children to have great fun whilst learning more about Jesus and meeting with Him. We use resources from
Urban Saints Energize with age-relevant bible teaching and prayers, plus crafts and games.
Age-appropriate groups meet during the
9.30am and 11.15am services. After the worship in the service, an announcement lets the children and
youth know when it is time to go to their groups. If you are new, parents - please follow the crowd to take your children out and say hello to one of the leaders. The Children's Church programme includes a Bible story lesson, singing/worship, craft, and games.

Parents can stay in church with their babies, or they can also join the Giggle & Grow group to see the provision we have for toddlers, preschoolers and babies

Get involved - adults please volunteer!
We need lots of amazing people to help run activities, and thankfully we already have an incredible team, why not be part of it?
All leaders have been checked through the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS), worship regularly at PBC and follow our Safeguarding policies to ensure safety of our young people.
We are always pleased when more people want to get involved. Some roles draw on your existing skills while others require additional leadership training. If you are interested in exploring the opportunities and options available please contact our Youth Worker Charlie at youth@purleybaptist.org.

Please join us in prayer and fellowship, we look forward to seeing you!

'Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.'
