Community Projects

As a church, we aim to show the love of God in word and action to those around us. We are committed to serving our local community which means running and supporting a number of community projects that aim to help and shape people's lives for the better. 

PCC Community Outreach
The Purley Cross Centre provides advice, information and training for the community. The centre is based at PBC and is open on Tuesdays 10am-4pm and Wednesdays 12pm-4pm, and also for enquires at info@purleycrosscentre.org and 02086684189. Details of activities are listed in the monthly flyer.
Renew23 Community Outreach
Renew 23 Wellbeing Cafe is open on Thursdays 10am-2pm. It is a place where 'its ok not to be ok'. 
Purley Counselling Service Com
The Purley Counselling Service provides caring, professional, confidential counselling to anyone who is in need. Appointments are made for daytime and evening. Fees are on a sliding scale based on income and circumstances. 
Purley Food Hub Community Outr
Purley Food Hub provides emergency food parcels to local people in crisis. Clients need to be referred to the Food Hub by designated Ticket Partners such as Purley Cross Centre (phone and email above). Other Ticket Partners include Croydon Council’s Discretionary Housing Payments (DHP) Team, Citizens Advice Croydon, and some schools and GP surgeries. Food deliveries are made on Saturday and Wednesday mornings direct to clients’ homes in postcode areas CR2 (South Croydon, Selsdon, Sanderstead), CR5 (Coulsdon, Old Coulsdon), CR8 (Purley, Kenley), CR0 4 (Waddon). More information on the Food Hub website HERE
