As a church, we aim to show the love of God in word and action to those around us. We are committed to serving our local community which means running and supporting a number of community projects that aim to help and shape people's lives for the better.
The Purley Cross Centre provides advice, information and training for the community. The centre is based at PBC and is open on Tuesdays 10am-4pm and Wednesdays 12pm-4pm, and also for enquires at info@purleycrosscentre.org and 02086684189. |
Renew 23 Wellbeing Cafe is open on Thursdays 10am-2pm. It is a place where 'its ok not to be ok'. |
The Purley Counselling Service provides caring, professional, confidential counselling to anyone who is in need. Appointments are made for daytime and evening. Fees are on a sliding scale based on income and circumstances. |

Young at Heart is a monthly Afternoon Tea for older people often living alone. We offer conversation and friendship, alongside a range of activities and crafts. Transport can be arranged to/from the church from approx. one mile away. We are keen to welcome new people along! Contact Us for more information. Tuesdays 2-3.30pm once a month, check our Calendar for the next one!

Our local food bank, Purley Food Hub helps local people in crisis who are without food. Set up by Purley & Kenley Churches Together, PBC plays an active role in supporting this charity. |

The Link is closed. After 12½ years of serving homeless and vulnerably-housed adults on a Thursday evening at East Croydon URC, we have taken the difficult decision to close. Thank you to everyone who has supported us in one way or another over the years. Many thanks, Pauline Miller
Further information will follow about alternative drop-ins for homeless and vulnerably-housed adults. |
Just for fun!
Here is your chance to indulge in your passion and perhaps improve your skills. Come along to meet with other like-minded people and be encouraged. Contact the Church Office for more details.

Aperture Photography Group meets fortnightly (1st and 3rd Monday of each month), Mondays 8pm. More details are at http://aperture-club.co.uk.
We are a small, fairly informal group and our aim is to encourage people to develop a deeper interest in digital photography and improve their skills. Some evening meetings are a practical session for people to learn new skills. We also have regular photo-assignments to encourage members to extend themselves, we don't have a lot of competitions. Please join us! |
Art Group meets weekly, Thursdays 10am-12pm (term time).
We are a small group of amateurs who mainly work in water colours while using other materials. As a social group, we are very informal! If you have an interest in drawing and painting, and want to meet new people, why not come along on a Thursday morning. |
Book Club meets approx every 2 months, Thursdays 7.30pm. We are a small, informal group who enjoy reading and catching up to discuss the latest book. New people are always welcome and you don't have to commit for any length of time. |
