Mission: The ministry exists to help PBC equip and disciple men to lead authentic, courageous and transformed Christ-centred lives.
Our desire is to develop a community of men dedicated to cultivating real relationships and spiritual maturity.
We aim to be authentic and courageous men of strong character and integrity who serve Christ and support one another with intentional action and an inclusive attitude.
Our pledge is to use our time, energy and resources to connect and meet the needs of men (including young adult men) within PBC and the wider community.
Christ-centred lives: Integrate faith, loving God and biblical truth into all aspects of men’s life – family (fathers, husbands, partners), friends, work, church and community.
Equip and disciple men: Building good character, influence, supportive relationships and mutual cooperation through discipleship – teaching and fellowship.
Lead authentic and courageous lives: Lean into God, embrace and accept our human limitations and weaknesses – develop trusted relationships in small groups.
Integrity in character: Grow courageous men of faith, integrity and spiritual maturity.
Inter-generational: Bridging the inter-generational gap through mentoring, prayer and supporting young adult men (18 years +)
Prayer: Dedicated group of men committed to pray regularly for the ministry
Small groups: We discuss real life issue-oriented topics pertinent to men
Events: Activities based on common interests and passions
The BBQ is open to all men - you are welcome to bring a male friend, family member, colleague or acquaintance. We would love to see as many men as possible of any age (especially the young adults of our church), joining us for an afternoon of food, chat, and a chance to get to know other men. The cost is free but a voluntary donation of £10 (or more) is suggested. Any excess money will go towards Purley Food Hub. Limited tickets: Everybody needs to book tickets or register attendance with the Church Office. Tickets are issued on a first come first serve basis, so book early. Dietary requirements: Please provide details of any allergies or dietary requirements when booking. You are welcome to bring your own beer or wine if you want!
