Children

We are here to equip Parents and Carers to empower their children in connecting with God via the Bible, worship and prayer. We want to support families to build vibrant homes, which overflow into our neighbourhoods.

Now that we have new freedoms, we are looking forward to seeing you and your children back in church again. Our programmes create opportunities to meet with peers, friends and leaders, and include creative, educational, biblical content. See: PBC KidsOnline Games, Scouting Groups. Here are our plans going forward.

PBC Kids

  • Our children are meeting up on Sunday mornings via Zoom until the end of July. Ages 2-6 years: 9-9.30am. Ages 7-10 years: 9.45-10.30am. Programmes include Bible stories and a short lesson, singing/worship and maybe dancing, craft and games. Contact us for joining details.
  • We will also be starting a Family Service every Sunday afternoon in the Lower Hall from the 13 June onwards (4.00pm to 5.00pm). This will be running until the beginning of the Summer Holidays. Families need to book in advance by contacting the PBC office by Friday morning at the latest.
  • Of course you are always welcome to bring your children to church for Sunday morning services, but the children will stay with you for the service. We are providing bags with toys/books that may help keep them engaged, but we are not providing separate teaching for the children at this time.

Bods and Tods

Bods and Tods toddler time has resumed on a small scale during term time, and will be opening its doors wider as Covid restrictions allow. (Wednesdays 10.30am - 12.00noon) We have a Bods and Tods Facebook Page, via which you can book a place for the following Wednesday (find us under - Bods and Tods).

August

  • Sunday morning services will be family friendly - so children will remain with you at all times.
  • During the week - we will be providing two hours of creative, educational, sporty and fun activities, to children and families in our church and community. We will also be sharing lunch together as we get to know each other. This will take place each Thursday during the 4 weeks of August. Plans are developing well for this new venture.
  • Camps - we are looking for possible Urban Saints or Scout camps that the children can go to. We will keep you posted.
If you would like to get involved in any of our children's activities, please contact Wendy Colpus, our Children's and Families Leader.
