Purley Baptist Church was 100 years old in 2005 (see the Centenary Page) and has been a strong church for several decades. In more recent years we have become more community-centered, believing that Jesus Christ changes places as well as people. We are pleased that now over 30 nationalities make up our church community, reflecting the changing nature of this part of London.

Vision
Purley Baptist Church is a community which enables people from all backgrounds to become mature followers of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Purpose
Purley Baptist Church is committed to bringing God’s blessing to our Community.

This means:

• To be faithful witnesses to Jesus Christ
• Welcoming people into the church family
• Leading them to know Jesus Christ
• Training and equipping and maturing people to serve within His church and the wider community throughout the world.

Our Future
Where are going in the future? More of the same, but definitely following the Holy Spirit’s leading to find other creative ways to bring Gods blessing on those who know Him, and those who don’t know Him yet.
